How we describe the condition of our books:

We are very proud of the condition of the books we sell (please read our testimonials to find out more!)

New: Exactly as it says.

As New: Pretty much new but shows small signs of having been read, such as little folds on corners; inside it will be clean without any inscriptions or stamps; might contain a remainder mark.

Very Good: Might have some creases on the spine but no hard cracks; maybe slight forward lean and short inscription inside; perhaps very minor bumping on the corners of the book; inside it will be clean but the page edges might be slightly yellowed..

Good: A few creases on the spine, perhaps a forward lean, bumping on corners or shelfwear; maybe an inscription inside or some shelfwear or a small tear or two on the dustjacket, if it's a hardcover; inside it will be clean but the page edges could be somewhat yellowed.

Fair: In overall good condition, might have a severe forward lean to the spine, an inscription, bumping to corners; one or two folds on the covers and yellowed pages; in exceptional cases these books could contain some library stamps and stickers or have neat sticky tape which was used to fix a short, closed tear.

Poor: We rarely sell poor condition books, unless the books are in demand and difficult to find in a better condition, for example, books by Louis L'Amour are typically not in great condition. Poor condition books are still perfect for a good read, all pages will be intact and none threatening to fall out; most probably a reading copy only.

We do not sell:

• Books with pages hanging on by a thread.
• Books with any loose pages.
• Books with an extreme forward or backward slant.
• Books where the front cover was folded over onto the back.
• Books where the covers were torn off.
• Books where the covers are wrinkled all over because of all the folds on them. 
• Books with hard cracks in the spine causing one to see the spine where every crack is!
• Dirty or smelly books.
• Books that had been repaired, except for small issues fixed neatly with sticky tape.
• Books with highlighting, pen underlining, content comments or kids' scribbles in them.
• Textbooks - at all!

Cover Images

In some cases cover images of the books may not always represent the actual book. We recommend looking at the ISBN number to confirm whether it's the book you're looking for. 

Out of Stock Books

We sell on various platforms and it can (and does) happen that a book you order is out of stock. In such instances we try to source the book for you but if we're unable to, we'll let you know and give you an option to receive a refund for the book, either as an EFT payment or by adding reward points to your account with us.

Couriers

Sometimes we'll send a courier parcel with a different courier than the one you selected. We'll never charge you later if we make use of another courier. If you feel strongly about using a specific courier, please add that in the Comments section during Checkout.

Book Descriptions

We do our best to provide accurate information about each book but mistakes can creep in. If this occurs we'll deal with each issue on a case-by-case basis. Please ensure that you read the book details under the Additional Information tab if you are looking for a specific edition of a book.
