A major new edition of one of Britain's bestselling Christian books of all time. To mark the 21st anniversary of Chasing the Dragon, which has sold more than a quarter of a million copies around the world, Jackie Pullinger has written two completely new chapters to update the stories of some of the lost people to whom she brought the compassion and saving power of the gospel. Until it was pulled down the Walled City was Hong Kong's most foreboding territory. It was a lawless place, dominated by the Triads, and which the police hesitated to enter. Strangers were unwelcome. Drug smuggling and heroin addiction flourished. A place of prostitution and pornography, extortion and fear. When Jackie set out from England she had no idea that God was calling her to the Walled City. Yet, as she spoke of Jesus Christ, amazing events started to occur... Review 'Jackie Pullinger has helped to turn a city around and has saved lives, all because of the compassion that she's received from Jesus. She is clear and straight up in the way that only someone who is actually doing what she says can be.' (Mike Pilavachi) 'One of the most dramatic Christian autobiographies ever published' (Church of England Newspaper) 'Anyone less likely to go tripping into the vice dens of the notorious Walled City could not be found. Maybe her ignorance saved her ... or her courage.' (Daily Mail) 'A book to stop you in your tracks.' (Liverpool Daily Post) Book Description The incredible true story of a young British woman's struggle against the darkness of Hong Kong's Triads and drug dens - re-told for the first time as a cutting-edge Manga graphic novel --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

How we describe the condition of our books

We are very proud of the condition of the books we sell (please read our testimonials to find out more!)

New: Exactly as it says.

As New: Pretty much new but shows small signs of having been read; inside it will be clean without any inscriptions or stamps; might contain a remainder mark.

Very Good: Might have some creases on the spine; no hard cracks; maybe slight forward lean and short inscription inside; perhaps very minor bumping on the corners of the book; inside clean but the page edges might be slightly yellowed.

Good: A few creases on the spine, perhaps a forward lean, bumping on corners or shelfwear; maybe an inscription inside or some shelfwear or a small tear or two on the dustjacket; inside clean but page edges might be somewhat yellowed.

Fair: In overall good condition, might have a severe forward lean to the spine, an inscription, bumping to corners; one or two folds on the covers and yellowed pages; in exceptional cases these books might contain some library stamps and stickers or have neat sticky tape which was used to fix a short, closed tear.

Poor: We rarely sell poor condition books, unless the books are in demand and difficult to find in a better condition. Poor condition books are still perfect for a good read, all pages will be intact and none threatening to fall out; most probably a reading copy only.
