THE CRUSH: While serving as a juror on a high-profile murder trial, Dr Rennie Newton finds herself defending the rights of the accused, a psychopath named Lozada, and consequently he is acquitted. Within days it becomes apparent that Rennie has attracted unwanted romantic attention - she arrives home one afternoon to find five dozen red roses waiting for her - but in a more sinister twist, her colleague and co-candidate for promotion at the hospital is found dead in his car, a murder that bears Lozada's hallmark. Is Rennie the object of Lozada's unrelenting obsession? Or does her seemingly bland past conceal a murderous heart of its own? The stakes are raised still further when Rennie comes under investigation by Wick Threadgill, an embittered cop with vengeance on his mind and a point to prove...International bestselling author Sandra Brown has crafted a stunning and explosive thriller that will undoubtedly take her fan base to new heights. HELLO DARKNESS: When a caller to a late night radio talk show announces his intention to murder a woman he's kidnapped within seventy-two hours, mayhem ensues. Paris Gibson, the mysterious host of the show in question, finds herself in the spotlight for the first time in years. Who has been abducted? And what is the identity of the caller, known only as 'Valentino'? The clock is ticking and in the midst of the frenzy to track down the missing woman, Paris finds herself working alongside someone she's tried hard to forget: Dean Malloy, the police psychologist who's heading up the investigation. With every hour that passes, the hunt grows increasingly desperate but how significant are the secrets that Dean and Paris conceal in their mutual past? They need to identify Valentino before he can execute his murderous plans ...and before he can exact vengeance on Paris for trying to stop him. HELLO DARKNESS is vintage Sandra Brown - breathtaking, electrifying and unputdownable.

How we describe the condition of our books

We are very proud of the condition of the books we sell (please read our testimonials to find out more!)

New: Exactly as it says.

As New: Pretty much new but shows small signs of having been read; inside it will be clean without any inscriptions or stamps; might contain a remainder mark.

Very Good: Might have some creases on the spine; no hard cracks; maybe slight forward lean and short inscription inside; perhaps very minor bumping on the corners of the book; inside clean but the page edges might be slightly yellowed.

Good: A few creases on the spine, perhaps a forward lean, bumping on corners or shelfwear; maybe an inscription inside or some shelfwear or a small tear or two on the dustjacket; inside clean but page edges might be somewhat yellowed.

Fair: In overall good condition, might have a severe forward lean to the spine, an inscription, bumping to corners; one or two folds on the covers and yellowed pages; in exceptional cases these books might contain some library stamps and stickers or have neat sticky tape which was used to fix a short, closed tear.

Poor: We rarely sell poor condition books, unless the books are in demand and difficult to find in a better condition. Poor condition books are still perfect for a good read, all pages will be intact and none threatening to fall out; most probably a reading copy only.
