Daar is kwalik 'n vraag wat in die jongste tyd so brandend aktueel geword het as die vraag na die sin van die lewe. Daar is ook kwalik 'n wetenskaplike wat sy hele navorsing ор vraag gekonsentreer het en dan nog vanuit so 'n verskeidenheid van wetenskaplike dissiplines soos die Weense psigiater Viktor Frankl. Sy Logoterapie of soos sommige sy denkrigting noem, die derde Weense rigting, is geheel en al daarop ingestel om mense te help om die sin van die lewe te herontdek. Daarmee probeer Frankl nie die normale psigoterapie vervang nie, maar probeer hy om 'n terapie daar te stel vir dié wat aan die sinloosheid van sy lewe ly. Sê ja vir die lewe bied aan die leser 'n blik in die lewenswerk van dié gevierde sielkundige. Dis die eerste keer dat Frankl se verspreide publikasies oor die vraag na die sin van die lewe in een bundel saamgevat word. Dit handel oor die sin van die lewe in die seksuele lewe, in die deelname aan sport, in die mens wat met 'n onveranderlike lot gekonfronteer staan, in die beoefening van wetenskap, in die belewenis van godsdiens en vele ander lewensterreine. Die bundel bied nie alleen 'n hel- der analise van die probleem van sinloosheid nie, maar ook riglyne vir 'n herwinning van 'n sinvolle lewe in alle omstandighede. Die feit dat Frankl self die Duitse konsentrasiekampe by Dachau en Auschwitz deurgemaak het, maak sy lewensbeskouing soveel meer eg en geloofwaardiger.

New: Exactly as it says.

As New: Pretty much new but shows small signs of having been read; inside it will be clean without any inscriptions or stamps; might contain a remainder mark.

Very Good: Might have some creases on the spine; no hard cracks; maybe slight forward lean and short inscription inside; perhaps very minor bumping on the corners of the book; inside clean but the page edges might be slightly yellowed.

Good: A few creases on the spine, perhaps a forward lean, bumping on corners or shelfwear; maybe an inscription inside or some shelfwear or a small tear or two on the dustjacket; inside clean but page edges might be somewhat yellowed.

Fair: In overall good condition, might have a severe forward lean to the spine, an inscription, bumping to corners; one or two folds on the covers and yellowed pages; in exceptional cases these books might contain some library stamps and stickers or have neat sticky tape which was used to fix a short, closed tear.

Poor: We rarely sell poor condition books, unless the books are in demand and difficult to find in a better condition. Poor condition books are still perfect for a good read, all pages will be intact and none threatening to fall out; most probably a reading copy only.
